Research
Priority research programmes include environmental and technology policy, international trade and monetary policy as well as the investigation of the role of the government in today's society. Various approaches to regulating safety risks in the areas of environment, health and safety as well as their (possible) influences on the international action system are analysed. Issues relating to the regulation of the financial market constitute another area of research. (What is its role with regard to the banking system? For what reasons and in what ways do governments respond to speculative currency attacks?) Sociological and ecological focuses lie on the investigation of the influence of forms of government and government activities on welfare and on international water resources and environmental innovation management.
