Research |
The research activities of the CSS take a broadly interdisciplinary approach. They are divided into five central research areas: New Risks; Security Institutions; Strategy/Doctrine; Area Studies; State Failure and State Building. Each individual area focuses on aspects of interaction between the causes and consequences of organised violence between groups, countries and/or societies and, on the other hand, on institutions, political processes and/or policies that could contribute to the management, stabilisation and containment of political force. |

Teaching |
Elective Courses GESS: Lectures
within the framework of the compulsory elective GESS on various aspects of
Swiss and international security policy. Courses are supplemented by a virtual
