 		The chair carries out research in the areas of environmental sociology, labour market sociology and population sociology, social theory and cooperation systems based on the Rational Choice Theory, where game theoretical and other mathematic models are used.

Research Rational Choice Theory is the basis for the analyses, whereby game theoretical and mathematical models are used. Fundamental research focuses on the examination of the creation and stability of cooperation. This knowledge is critical to the empirical research of the chair in the area of environmental sociology, labour market sociology and population sociology and for the development of social theory in general.
Teaching Elective Courses GESS: There will be a series of lectures, colloquia and seminars in line with the priority research programmes.
