Dr. Christian Jany

Studies in German Literature and Cultural Studies at Humboldt University Berlin and, as assistant to Prof. Peter Uwe Hohendahl, at Cornell University. Master's degree at Humboldt University with a thesis on Rilke's "Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge". From September 2009 to January 2015 Ph.D. student at the Department of German at Princeton University. During the academic year 2012/2013, research stay at ETH Zurich. Ph.D. at Princeton University with a thesis on "scenographies of perception" supervised by Prof. Claudia Brodsky and Prof. Brigid Doherty. From March 2015 postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Literature and Cultural Studies at ETH Zurich, since March 2021 as senior assistant. In addition, associate member of the Centre for the History of Knowledge (ZGW).
